The work, and what you'll do:
Join a cutting-edge program and shape the future of cloud applications! Our client is seeking a talented Cleared Systems Engineer to join their dynamic Infrastructure Team. You'll play a key role in supporting our cloud application through expert DevOps, systems administration, and systems engineering skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage cloud infrastructure and provisioning, leveraging your knowledge of common cloud services like compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Implement DevOps practices to automate deployments, configuration management, and infrastructure operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring optimal application performance and uptime.
- Contribute to code development and testing, utilizing scripting languages like BASH.
- Collaborate with developers and other engineers to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable systems.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (4 years of additional experience may substitute).
- 6+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in similar programs and projects.
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure and provisioning, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like BASH and basic understanding of system network and server administration.
- IAT Level 2 Certification required.
- Experience with Helm, Kubernetes, and cluster development are a plus.
- AWS certification and knowledge of Python, Ansible, OpenStack, Docker, and Rook-Ceph are a plus.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location/telework: Work performed in contractor facility in Annapolis Junction. Telework is approved and task-dependent.
