Our client is a growing startup that empowers federal agencies with their enterprise knowledge platform and generative AI applications. They are well positioned and seeking a Business Development Executive to help them grow their current DoD footprint and expand their product penetration into new agencies. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact and shape the future of an exciting organization in an industry with a massive potential upside. You will identify decision-makers, build relationships, develop account strategies, and penetrate new markets as you lead business development efforts. This role requires regular travel to customer sites (approximately 50%) and allows for remote flexibility the remainder of the time. You will enjoy a strong base salary (in the $200,000 range) with a large commission component that rounds out an excellent compensation package.
Relevant qualifications:
-Successful track record of enterprise software sales within the DoD or other federal agencies
-Hunter mentality coupled with ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
-Excellent communication skills and knack for influencing decision-makers at the executive level
-Knowledge of DoD organizations and the understanding of mission-critical needs
-Ability to artfully articulate the value of innovative technological solutions
This role requires at least a Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred). You must be located in the Washington, DC area or be willing to relocate.
