The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our client's team in the Fort Meade, MD area. This is a full-time, mid-level position offering an exciting opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer and sustain critical mission-related software and systems. You will be immersed in the development lifecycle, automation, and maintenance of critical software delivery pipelines within a collaborative environment. Base salaries range from $70k to $130k with full benefits and potential for a sign-on bonus.
What You'll Bring
5 years of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field).
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team with strong communication skills.
Required Key Skills:
Experience with Git and building release pipelines (CI/CD).
Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with Jenkins/Bamboo.
Experience with Docker and containerization.
Knowledge of Memcache/Active MQ/Redis/APC.
Experience with MySQL.
Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and virtualized servers.
Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java).
Desired Skills:
Experience with Kibana.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible).
Experience with web service infrastructure and deployments.
Knowledge of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
Experience with Kubernetes and serverless technologies.
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship and an active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is REQUIRED (no clearance upgrades or CCAs, uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).
