The Role
We are seeking a Principal UI/UX Engineer to support our client's U.S. Government customer. This is a full-time position focused on the transition of a legacy python application into a modern web app. You will work closely with customers and PMs to understand, design, and create new user interfaces using NextJS. Responsibilities include ensuring well-written code for code intelligence and maintainability, and participating in code reviews. A general understanding of Docker is needed for deployments. Base salaries range from 170k-240k with full benefits, a hybrid schedule and potential for a sign-on bonus.
What You'll Bring
-Technical degree and 14+ years of experience in Frontend UI/UX engineering or related web development.
-Strong proficiency in NextJS, TypeScript, ReactJS (heavily used), and Tailwind CSS (heavily used).
-Experience with NodeJS.
-Experience with Cypress Testing.
-General understanding of Docker.
-Ability to write well-structured code for code intelligence and maintainability.
-Experience participating in code reviews.
-Strong communication skills & ability to work well both independently and on a team.
-While not required, experience with Python is a helpful skill for assisting backend developers with code reviews.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs).

Location
Hybrid schedule with onsite location in Columbia, MD (up to 2 days/week of telework)
