Our client is a certified woman-owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia, MD. The Role
As a Security Engineer/Architect, you'll need to understand and document complex system designs and implementations spanning multiple enclaves, including those with varying data protection and classification needs. This role involves working with distributed architectures and cloud-based systems for big data applications. You will create, review, and edit authorization documentation, implement DoD RMF system accreditation processes, and assess operational risk of integrated software components. You will also use vulnerability management systems and automated security scanning tools, provide security planning, risk analysis, and recommend system-level solutions to guide development teams in meeting security posture requirements.

What You'll Bring
- BS and 9+ years of experience as an ISSE or security-focused software / systems engineer (OR 7 years relevant experience with a MS)
- Experience implementing DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP acceptable and RMF preferred).
- A deep understanding of systems engineering and an ability to quickly understand the inner workings of various software and system level applications.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II (SSCP, Security+, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification).
- Experience with DISA STIGs and SRGs, vulnerability management systems, mitigation and compliance processes, and reviewing results from automated security scanning tools.
- Ability to grasp new concepts, facilitate information exchanges for data gathering, and collaborate with diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CISSP-ISSEP is highly desired.

Clearance Requirements
A current TS/SCI level U.S. Government clearance with CI Poly is required; U.S. Citizenship required. Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or under-cleared applicants will not receive a response).

Location
Hybrid schedule with onsite work in Ft. Belvoir, VA (must be willing to work on-site 2-3 days/week, with flexibility for schedule changes).
