Our client is a certified woman owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia, MD. They specialize in cyber security operations and engineering, software development, data science and analytic development, security engineering, risk management, and cloud migration. The work:
This role involves developing custom software components and integrating open-source code to address complex time series analysis problems using Big Data and Cloud technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cloud technology (AWS), Python programming, and a strong Linux foundation. They will be expected to work autonomously, identify and solve problems quickly, and contribute to broader strategic goals.
What you'll do:
- Develop custom software components and integrate open-source code.
- Address complex time series analysis problems using Big Data and Cloud technology.
- Work autonomously to identify and solve problems quickly while contributing to broader strategic goals.
- Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software leveraging modern tools to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
What you'll need:
- BS and 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development
- Experience developing infrastructure in AWS
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, proficiency in shell scripting, and excellent communication skills.
- Security+ certification required (within 45 days of hire)
Nice to haves:
- Experience with DISA's Big Data Platform or other Big Data systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes or CI/CD pipelines and strong scripting skills.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites.
- Experience with puppet, ansible, maven, or virtualization.
Clearance requirement: Secret or Top Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship required. Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location/telework: Hybrid schedule with onsite location in Columbia, MD.
Compensation: Salary bands range from 80k to 225k, consummate with experience/degrees/etc.
