Our client:
Our client is a certified woman owned small business established in 2015 in Columbia, MD. They specialize in cyber security operations and engineering, software development, data science and analytic development, security engineering, risk management, and cloud migration. This client offers extremely competitive benefits: fully-paid medical benefits, 4 weeks PTO, 6% 401k, over 5k for training and pay for every hour worked. The work:
This Model-Based Systems Engineer role involves utilizing model-based methodologies to design, analyze, and optimize complex systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles, with experience in tools like Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and create system models, ensuring integration into the engineering lifecycle. The role requires a TS/SCI security clearance, a INCOSE CSEP certification, and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework. The work is primarily on-site in San Antonio, TX, with some remote work flexibility.
What you'll need:
- BS and 9+ (nine) years of experience in software engineering. Additional years of experience may substitute degrees.
- Active TS clearance (with SCI eligibility)
- Active DoD IAT II Certification (Sec+, etc)
- Experience with Java programming & unit and integration testing
- Familiarity with data extraction, translation, and loading, as well as log formats (JSON, XML) and data flow and storage solutions (Kafka, NiFi, AWS S3, SQS).
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Python programming, NoSQL databases (Accumulo), Kubernetes, and Maven
- Cyber security and Agile methodologies experience
Clearance requirement: Active TS clearance and U.S. Citizenship required. Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location: Hybrid schedule with onsite work performed in San Antonio, TX; Flexible remote work options are available.
Compensation: Salary bands range from 130k-200k+, consummate with experience/degrees/etc.
