The Role
Our client is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to significantly contribute to the development of custom software and the integration of open-source code. This role focuses on solving complex time series analysis problems using cutting-edge Big Data and Cloud technology. The ideal candidate is a strong systems integrator with a talent for enhancing and optimizing existing codebases. You'll design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software, from prototype to operational applications, and use modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to build and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
What You'll Bring
Technical BS and 9+ years of relevant experience, MS and 7+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma and 13+ years of relevant experience.
Experience developing infrastructure in AWS
Solid understanding of Linux systems and shell scripting (Shell/Bash),
Proficiency in Python or Java.
Prior experience with Big Data systems (e.g., Cloudera), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Clearance Requirements
An active Secret clearance is required for consideration, TS/SCI clearance is preferred. Client cannot hold higher clearances (including polygraphs) and we are not able to upgrade clearances. Please note, you must have the required clearance for consideration; under-cleared applicants will not receive a response.
Location
Columbia, MD (Hybrid, requiring 1-2 days per week onsite)
