Our client's Network Analytics and Cyber Defense program, which they have been priming for nearly 10 years, is growing. This program utilizes Data Science and Automation to detect network anomalies and potential threats to one of the largest networks in the world - nearly 13% of the entire internet, supporting DoD and the warfighter efforts. Work involves data mining / cleansing / exploration, predictive modeling, visualization, analytics development, analysis, presentation of findings, and developing specs for new development efforts. The tech stack is diverse: ML libraries and tools, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Scala, Python, R, Rust, C/C++, Java, and others. Team members delve deep into networking, security, data science, and many new products, platforms, and languages, so massive learning opportunities exist. New threats emerge constantly, so the work is always new and interesting. This is a rare "zero drama" team where our client and the customer have high collaboration, and where team members support knowledge and skill growth in each other.
