Our client's CTO leads a large Analytic Modernization effort that he originated over 10 years ago. This team of nearly 25 engineers makes a massive impact on missions in the Intelligence Community, continually winning awards from the Ft. Meade customer for its work. In addition to winning the Ops Division team of the quarter themselves, their work products supported all recipients of the Director's award for the most recent year! They've architected, designed, developed, and deployed 17 mission-critical analytic services used by live missions all over the IC. Overall, they've built a middle tier of services that is utilized by every presentation tier for every mission (SIGINT, Cyber, and custom missions).
Some of their many sub-projects include a completely new type of Data Visualization, a Machine Learning approach to build recommenders for analysts to prioritize what they review, a system to handle massive amounts of Text Processing that can utilize any system's JSON files, Entity Resolution, object-level manipulation, Cloud Analytics that combine streaming data and multiple repositories to provide over 300% more data than was possible before, and more. There are also pure R&D opportunities here. Based on a white paper written by our client's CTO, the Agency's top Machine Learning Chief has provided funding to apply Artificial Intelligence to a dozen years of data coming from six different sources. The team is vectorizing this data, creating models based off of questions they need to answer, and comparing every record against those models.
The customer relies on this team, and our client's CTO, not just for development, but also for ideas, technical direction, architecture, and design. All of the work on this project is done in contractor SCIFs in Annapolis Junction, MD (National Business Parkway). This facility is particularly well-managed related to COVID prevention, with more than normal distancing, temperature checks before entering the building, and other safety mechanisms in place. All roles on this project require US citizenship and a current TS/SCI + FS Poly clearance. On occasion, the customer has provided CCAs for senior CI Poly engineers with experience critical for the project.
