Our client is a global consulting firm looking to expand their Defense Analytics group. They are seeking a talented Data Scientist who will help identify business hypotheses and metrics. You will have the opportunity to define and drive the analytical scope and method for projects, including formulating and shaping the models. This work will be located in Washington DC. You can expect a strong compensation package with a high base + signing bonus + stock.
To be successful in this position you will need:
-Advanced hands-on data science and analytics experience using Python and R
-Experience applying common data science methods, including linear models, tree-based models, SVM's, ensemble methods (e.g., random forest), and unsupervised/clustering methods.
-Experience with descriptive statistics and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
-Experience working with large datasets in flat files, relational databases, and distributed systems (Hadoop).
-Exposure to AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
-Experience in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Tibco Spotfire, Qlik)
Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required. This role does require a TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly.
