The work, and what you'll do:
The ISSE 2 position supports a government client in Columbia, MD, acting as a security expert on engineering teams for secure systems design, development, and implementation.
Responsibilities include:
- Security assessments: Identifying vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance, and recommending mitigation strategies.
- System security design: Defining, validating, and implementing secure architectures and components for various environments.
- Integration & implementation: Building and integrating secure systems, adhering to government security policies and standards.
- Security architecture support: Assisting in building and enforcing secure connections between internal and external systems.
- Threat & risk management: Assessing, mitigating, and contributing to security planning, risk analysis, and awareness activities.
- Documentation & compliance: Reviewing and providing feedback on certification documents, ensuring compliance with regulations.
What you'll need:
- 14 years of experience as an ISSE on similar projects.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or (4 years of ISSE experience can substitute degree).
- DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2.
- CISSP or CASP certification required.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location: Work is performed in a contractor space in Columbia, MD. Telework is mission dependent.
